Mark Tedeschi

President / CEO

Mark launched True North Brand Group with a passion for helping small and medium sized businesses maximize their opportunities.

Prior to opening True North Brand Group, Mark spent more than a decade working as a reporter and an editor, covering business developments in a range of consumer markets from fitness to outdoor products, fashion, lifestyle and fashion accessories. He closely followed public and private companies ranging from brands like Nike, Reebok and Adidas, to Tommy Hilfiger and the Gap, to Dick’s Sporting Goods and Banana Republic.

Prior to his experience covering business developments at media outlets like Footwear News, Women's Wear Daily, Children's Business and Sporting Goods Business, Mark worked at newspapers such as the Boston Globe and Chicago Tribune. His news coverage includes a stint covering a presidential campaign as well as local and regional politics.

Mark's editorial background has helped position True North as a firm that members of the media can count on to assist in their compilation of gear, trend, style and news stories. Mark has built a team of seasoned professionals, including some who pitched stories to him when he was a journalist, who all possess an understanding of the media's unique needs and tight deadlines. True North also has a list of trusted partners it relies on to develop integrated digital marketing programs.

Kate heads up our Boulder, Co., office and brings 25 years of marketing experience to the True North team. She cut her teeth in the competitive NYC market and is known for generating compelling, market-driven media placements that are on brand and move the sales needle.

In 2004, Kate founded her own agency, d i s h Publicity and opened more than 70 restaurant and retail brands across the country. From 2006-2016 she also served on the innovation team for the advertising agency, Sterling-Rice. There, she both named new products and positioned them for the overall go-to-market strategy. At True North, she handles brand archetypes, ideations, client strategy, ghostwriting, and pitching. Kate lives in Colorado with her two daughters and can often be found taking a backyard hike during client calls. She also loves puns and annoys the team with them regularly.
